PIEDMONT, S.D. – American Legion Post 311 hosted its annual Handmade Holiday Craft Fair with many of the proceeds helping America’s veterans.
This is the third year for the event, which caters to local craftsmen and women looking to showcase and sell their unique, hand-tailored wares. Homemade soaps, pies, candies, as well as crochet patterns were all woven in the backdrop. Organizers say the primary goal of the fair is to support the community.
“The post here in Piedmont, we are totally volunteer-level. We have no paid staff, so we do this to just to help the community out. We have so much fun doing this and yet people do work hard at everything that they do, too” said Handmade Holiday Craft Fair Coordinator Nancy Worth.
Some vendors did have to cancel this year due to COVID-19.
