RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Humane Society of the Black Hills obtained a bit help from a local non-profit on Saturday from Anna’s Kindness.
The group is called after Anna LeFort, who handed away in 2017 from Influenza and Pneumonia.
According to Anna’s mom, Fran LeFort, Anna liked volunteering and serving to the animals on the humane society when their household lived in Rapid City.
In honor of the five-year anniversary of Anna’s loss of life, relations, buddies and classmates gathered on the animal shelter to honor Anna and pay tribute
“We wished to return to the humane society the place she labored and volunteered along with her buddies who’re seniors this 12 months and to only get along with them yet one more time earlier than they graduate and go on to the following chapter of their lives,” Fran LeFort mentioned.
Officials from the humane society say that teams like Anna’s Kindness help them so much.
Jerry Steinley, Executive Director of the Black Hills Humane Society, says that the group is at all times in want of volunteers and objects to help out the animals.
“We at all times want provides of blankets, meals, money donations are at all times appreciated,” Steinley mentioned. “It all goes to serving to hundreds of animals yearly. The volunteers, like we’re seeing right here at this time, help immensely. If you’re fascinated by volunteering, we’d like volunteers to stroll canines. We have volunteers that help clear up the grounds or have volunteers of help with laundry. Volunteers are all tremendously appreciated.”
