RAPID CITY, S.D. — Monday was a nice day at Arrowhead Country Club to play a round for good cause.
Golfers representing local businesses and organizations took part in the Western South Dakota Bishop’s Golf Classic. The event is a fundraiser for the Rapid City Catholic School system, Catholic Social Services and the Western South Dakota Catholic Foundation.
“Catholic Social Services reaches out to the poor in our midst and provides lots of different services to people in crisis,” said Bishop Peter Muhich. “So that’s a really great way to help people on the ground. Catholic schools in Rapid City educate our children. And the foundation that is supported by this tournament also supports Catholic ministers across western South Dakota.”
Following golf was an awards dinner.
NewsCenter1 was a proud sponsor of Monday’s eighth annual Bishop’s Golf Classic.
