RAPID CITY, S.D. — Headed to home theaters is the Banff Film Festival, which is typically shown at the Elks Theater in Rapid City.
What started in Banff, Canada, the festival features adventure and outdoor short films.
There will be two packages available for viewing until October 24th and the videos will change through that time to offer more variety.
It’s a great option to support the Rapid City Arts Council. The festival is is their biggest fundraiser.
Josh Miranda, the Event/Development Coordinator for the Rapid City Arts Council/Dahl Arts Center, says, “So this year we are doing the streaming, we wanted to just be able to get it out there to people who wanted to still be a part of it and then hopefully in 2022, we will be able to get back to in person.”
Miranda says, “Banff is gonna be outdoor and adventure short films, so they are normally gonna be two to three hours total and each film is going to be anywhere from five minutes to 30 minutes, so you are going to get a wide plethora of different kind of action and adventure vibes.”
