RAPID CITY, S.D. — Black Hills Energy’s Ready EV electric vehicle charger rebates are available to both residential and business customers.
Electric vehicles come in all shapes and sizes, including SUV’s, sports cars and sedans.
“There’s been a lot of models and studies done regarding electric vehicles,” said Mike Pogany, the Director of Electric Operations for Black Hill Energy. “When you look at the total cost of ownership of electric vehicles, some say that over the lifespan of a vehicle, a person could save in all $1,000 or $2,000 over the total cost of a conventional vehicle.”
To cap off National Drive Electric Week on October 3, Black Hills Energy will have representatives on hand at the 10th Annual Cruiser Car Show and Street Fair at Main Street Square in downtown Rapid City.
Those interested can stop by from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and take a closer look at the company’s Ready EV passenger vehicle, a Chevy Volt.
The company supports social distancing and facial coverings.
“I think it’s a shift in our transportation mode, we are looking at different ways to transport and move across our communities and people are adopting that in a record movement today,” says Pogany.
