BOX ELDER, S.D. — It was a royal event at the Box Elder Event Center as the city held it’s first Princess Ball.
Little princes and princesses showed up for a night of fun and dancing. Each princess received a tiara and wand, as well as opportunities for photos with Cinderella, Elsa, and Anna.
The hope was to bring some joy to children during the pandemic, and to show care for the residents of Box Elder.
“It’s been a great opportunity for the community to come together and to connect, and it’s something we’re working on within this area to continue to show what a great opportunity this is for Box Elder, and how invested we are in our community,” said Jessica Castleberry, State Senator for District 35.
Casey Pesch: “What’s your favorite part?”
Abigail Pesch: “The candy. She likes the candy.”
Box Elder began the event nights in an attempt to connect with the community and prepare for the arrival of new airmen at Ellsworth Air Force Base.
