RAPID CITY, S.D. — B & T Manufacturing has made the move from Black Hawk to Rapid City.
The company is now located at the old Western Dakota Tech campus at 1600 Sedivy Lane.
With the move, the company is looking to add 80 full-time jobs, with, what it calls, competitive pay ranging from $16 to $22 an hour. The company is also opening opportunities without experience.
The new space gives B&T Manufacturing more space for assembly, loading docks and administrative space.
The company is now hiring the following skilled workers and those interested in starting careers in the following trades:
- Drywallers
- Tile Setters
- Flooring Specialists
- Electricians
- Plumbers
- Finish Carpenters
Elevate Rapid City played a major role in attracting B & T Manufacturing to the city, and say that the extensive process begins with hearing the company’s needs.
“We have a general message but then saying you know, if they need a certain market skill set for employees or labor or if they really put a high emphasis on quality of life, then we can highlight and bring forth the number of reasons why everyone loves to live and work here in Rapid City and the Black Hills,” said Matt Brunner, the Economic Development Director with Elevate Rapid City.
Brunner also says that the space allows for the company to continue it’s path of growth and prepare for long-term success and that the addition of the company of the community brings higher paying jobs into the community.
