RAPID CITY, S.D. — If you’re anything like NewsCenter1’s Colton Hall, a true procrastinator, chances are you’ve waited until now to do your Christmas shopping.
But on Saturday at the Country Junkin Vintage and Handmade Market at the Central States Fairgrounds, there was a chance to get some of that shopping done.
It was the ninth year that vendors, in which over 80 participated this year, were given the opportunity to sell their goods.
At a time when consumers have faced longer waits for packages or were even forced to order their gifts early, it’s markets like these where you can support local and have an outlet to get your family’s gifts.
“You can get all your shopping done for every single buddy on your list,” said Amy Gustafson, the Organizer of the Country Junkin. “There are things here for kids for your grandma’s, your grandpas, your mom, your dad, your sisters, your brothers. There’s something here for everyone you can get it all here today and be done for the rest of this season and you don’t have to wait for something.”
If you missed on the chance to shop Saturday, Amy says she holds markets in the fall and spring as well.
