Crazy Days returns to Baken Park on Saturday

Rare Finds is a Rapid City-based home décor shop owned by Brenda Howard, who is excited to welcome Crazy Days back to Baken Park.

“We got Crazy Days coming Saturday, which is August 6th,” said Howard. “And in Baken Park, if anybody remembers, Baken Park, they used to have Crazy Days all the time, years ago. It was exciting and fun. So I wanted to bring the Crazy Days back to Baken Park.”

According to Howard, Crazy Days is a great family-friendly event, and it’s entirely open to the public.

“So we’re going to have face painting, I’m going to have a guy making animal balloons,” said Howard. “We got a truck here that’s going to be serving shaved ice and lemonade, frozen lemonade, deep fried Oreos. We’re going to have stuff outside, I’ll open my big garage door. And then in the middle, there’s a walk-through between the buildings, and we’re going to have stuff out there. And all the other stores are going to have stuff out and we’re going to have giveaways and we’re going to have mimosas in the afternoon.”

Crazy Days will be hosting games and challenges, including a crazy hat competition. The winner of the competition will receive a $15 gift certificate from Rare Finds.

Many shops will be offering exclusive deals during Crazy Days, so be sure to take advantage of the sales as well as the festivities.
