RAPID CITY, S.D. — Early Childhood Connections is again collaborating with the Rapid City Arts Council for a “Mini Masters – A Children’s Art Exhibit” 2020.
Typically the showcase is in correlation with the Week of The Young Child in April, but the COVID-19 pandemic got in the way.
The exhibit highlights the youngest artists in the community, children ages birth to five-years-old and celebrates self-expression and creativity.
10 local child care facilities from all over the Black Hills region participated this year.
“Art is a way for kids to test out theories in a safe way and try stuff and fail, and then succeed and try again and all of those things are skills we hope all of our kids learn,” said Jessi Beedle, the Infant and Toddler Specialist with Early Childhood Connections.
The gallery at the Dahl Arts Center will be open through November 30. There will be another exhibit in April of next year.
