DEADWOOD, S.D. — The Deadwood Mountain Grand is being fined by the South Dakota Gaming Commission. The problem? A missing card at a blackjack table back in December.
The casino came under fire after a blackjack table continued to operate for approximately 12 hours while a king of diamonds was missing from the deck.
A dealer had lost control of his cards, which fell on the floor. The dealer picked-up the cards up, re-shuffled, and continued playing.
Deadwood Mountain Grand management discovered the card was missing after watching security footage of the card drop.
The casino refunded more than $5,000 to some of the patrons, and now they have to pay a fine of $1,200 to the Gaming Commission.
