Ellsworth begins extended flying hours May 24-26

ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. —  The 28th Bomb Wing at Ellsworth Air Force Base will have extended airfield operating hours May 24-26.

The extended hours are part of routine training missions, and may include early morning flying and increased night flying operations.

Residents on-base and in the surrounding communities may hear noises associated with flying aircraft and maintenance activities.
