SOUTH DAKOTA — The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has partnered with the Indian Health Service (IHS) to offer mobile COVID-19 vaccination services to 13 communities across North and South Dakota. Two mobile vaccination units will begin April 19 and run through the end of May, making two stops in each community to ensure both doses of the vaccine are administered.
The sites are equipped to provide up to 250 shots a day, with no pre-registration required. Vaccines will be given on a first come, first served basis, and are available to anyone age 16 and older. 16- and 17-year-olds will need permission from a parent or guardian to be vaccinated.
