RAPID CITY, S.D. — The not-for-profit Fork Real Café in Rapid City is again inviting the community to come share a holiday meal, and as always, it’s pay what you can even if you can’t.
Fork Real is at 324 St. Joseph Street and they’re offering Thanksgiving meals through Wednesday between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
The holiday meals are a tradition that started when the Fork Real first opened in 2016.
They come complete with all the trimmings and your choice of pumpkin or pecan pie.
The café offers the meal to everyone in the community, especially those who have no where to go for the holiday.
“One of the big things is just being able to go,” said founder and Director Rhonda Pearcy. “For families to be able to come and sit down at a table. Some families don’t have the space to be able to do that. And the other is dignity, you know, just come in like a normal family dinner.”
Fork Real also has a stocked food pantry for anyone in need.
