RAPID CITY, S.D. — Several of the winners in the ‘Name The Garbage Truck’ contest, sponsored by the City’s Solid Waste Division, were present Tuesday afternoon to pick up prizes and to place magnets on the trucks.
Earlier this year, the City solicited suggestions of names from the public to name nine of their garbage trucks.
A total of 315 suggestions were submitted and more than 800 people voted their favorites among 35 finalists.
The winners were:

Litter Glitter
Brutus
Smashasaurus
Cruncher the Muncher
Cindersmella
Mt. Trashmore
Obi-One-Can-Only
Oscar
