RAPID CITY, S.D. — The 40th annual “Tee It Up Fore Cancer” golf tournament raised $55,000 after being cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic.
Held at Arrowhead Country Club, the event raises money to help Monument Health review and update technology, diagnostics, and cancer therapies.
“We are extremely grateful to our sponsors, participants and volunteers that helped make this a fun and successful fundraising event benefiting local cancer patients,” said Monument Health Foundation Program Manager Shawn Powers. ” Money raised on behalf of CCI through events like this impacts thousands of people that come to us for care every year. It is so heartwarming to see our community come together and recognize the impact they can have on cancer care in the Black Hills.”
Over $300,000 has been raised during the tournament since 2015 alone.
Tournament sponsors included Black Hills Energy, Compass One Health Care, First Interstate Bank, Vast Broadband, Boot Barn, Coca-Cola Bottling Company High Country, US Bank, Security First Bank, Scull Construction, Site Work Specialists, RBC Wealth Management, Kitchen & Bath Showcase, West River Electric, and Western Dakota Insurors.
Monument Health serves 14 communities across western South Dakota and eastern Wyoming.
