RAPID CITY, S.D. — Goodwill in Rapid City is providing a $40 voucher to those who served and who are still serving.
The voucher can be used to purchase clothing and accessories to help them prepare for employment. There is no restriction on purchases.
Goodwill has unit pricing on clothing, which makes the clothing affordable enough that an entire ensemble could be purchased for $40.
Veterans are also welcome to take advantage of Goodwill job training programs and community services to help them find employment.
“We try to do everything that we can to help out with veterans- they do a lot for our country and so this is one of things that we can at least do for them,” said Vilay Keokenchanh, Chief Operating Officer of Goodwill of the Great Plains.
In 2019, Goodwill served 397 veterans and active duty military members through their Boots to Suits Program.
The Boots to Suits Program runs through November 14th. Military ID is required.
Goodwill of the Great Plains is a community-based, non-profit 501c3 organization with headquarters in Sioux City, IA and serving South Dakota, portions of Iowa, Nebraska, and Minnesota.
