RAPID CITY, S.D. — Despite the change in climate Tuesday, Habitat for Humanity devoted the primary of three single-family properties to a family in need.
The home stands on the nook of MacArthur and Midway Streets in Rapid City, on land that used to comprise a condemned squatter home. Two extra properties on that very same lot are in the works.
Receiving her keys Tuesday was Marie, alongside along with her son Joshua, after finishing years of lessons and greater than 200 volunteer hours.
“I actually loved this system and I’m so grateful that you simply guys gave me this home at this time,” Marie mentioned. “Now I’m going to transfer into my first home!”
Community teams attended, presenting Marie and Joshua with housewarming items, like a toolkit from Knecht Home Center and selfmade quilts from a native quilting group.
Marie and Joshua are the 21st family to obtain a Habitat for Humanity home in Rapid City.
