HILL CITY, S.D. — The Hill City Lions Club hosted their first-ever Rubber Duck Race at Memorial Park Saturday afternoon. The Lions Club is a global group that focuses on community service, offering providers from amassing eyeglasses and listening to aids for these in must caring for individuals throughout a catastrophe — like they did through the 1972 flood.
Hill City Lions Club President Stefanie Doaty stated the Rubber Duck Race initially began out small, however grew into fairly the competition.
“I’ve 18 crafters. I’ve three meals vans right here. I’ve native musician Brent Morris. We have the Hill City Cheerleaders who’re going to be serving to with some video games,” Doaty stated.
It was a full day of family fun, with bouncy homes, face portray, and even gold panning. The Lions Club members had been out and about with carnival video games and prizes, ensuring everybody had fun.
Doaty says it’s the right end-of-summer occasion that compliments their community assist mission nicely.
