Isolated showers and thunderstorms expected Thursday afternoon and evening

UPDATE: 4:00 p.m. — A severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect until 5:00 p.m. MT for north central Custer and southwestern Pennington Counties.

• The storm has been located near Hayward, or 11 miles southeast of Hill City and is moving southeast at 10 mph.
• Baseball sized hail was recently reported 7 miles west of Hermosa.
• People and animals outdoors will be severely injured.
• Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs, siding and vehicles.
• The storm will be near State Game Lodge around 4:15 p.m.
