DEADWOOD, S.D. — 700 vehicles are registered for the event with typically thousands of people in attendance to take in all the nostalgia and view the cars in the competition.
There will be four nights of free, classic music entertainment and the newly built Outlaw Square will be a part of the action this year.
Concert goers are asked that all lawn chairs be placed on the lines provided on Main Street and posted guidelines be followed.
Lee Hardstad, Exec. Dir. of the Deadwood Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau, says, “Of course this year we are in a pandemic so we have set up some mitigation protocols that we hope are going to keep people safe and comfortable while being here.”
A free parking area and shuttle will be offered again this year, from Akela Spa to Deadwood which will run continuously Thursday 4-11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. until 11 p.m.
The event wraps up Sunday, Hardstad says, “And Sunday we do- all the cars are in a parade down Main Street at 9:00 in the morning then at 11:00 we give out the awards, all followed by the show and shine on Main Street, so all the cars are set up on Main Street, the perfect place to get out and check out all the cars.”
