RAPID CITY, S.D. — A group of local businesses coming together to raise funds for a local organization helping the homeless on Friday.
The barbecue originally set up by Solutions Chiropractic Plus in Rapid City, who learned about OneHeart and its mission to help the homeless population. A total of seven businesses bought a table and donated to the event, including:
- Solution Chiropractic Plus
- Uprooted: A mobile plant shop
- OsteoStrong
- Black Hawk CBD
- Black Hills Recreational Therapy
- Gold Key Realty and Auctions
- Little Print Shop
- Dry Creek Farm and Ranch
Each business also purchased a table that cost $25. All proceeds went to OneHeart.
Oneheart officials said that the organization relies on fundraisers like this from the community.
“It really helps us to know that we have strong backing in the community, which we need, we need the support of people coming together, learning about our organization and what we do and the donations that come in and support the work that we get to do,” said Karabeth Borresen, the Marketing Manager for OneHeart.
Solutions Chiropractic Plus also says that it plans to create more fundraising opportunities like this in the future.
