RAPID CITY, S.D. — It’s Mardi Gras – or Fats Tuesday – a day of feasting and celebration earlier than Lent. Celebrated around the globe, it’s typically referred to as Carnaval, and the sights and sounds of the festivities are arduous to overlook.
Deadwood held its Mardi Gras celebration over the weekend with Cajun meals sampling and a parade.
On Tuesday morning, individuals lined up outdoors of Pistachio Pie Bakery for some conventional candy treats. The bakery supplied king desserts (a fan favourite for Mardi Gras) in addition to beignets along with their standard number of goodies.
