RAPID CITY, S.D. — A lot of people spent the last day of Christmas weekend skating on the ice rink downtown at Main Street Square.
This is the only outdoor rink in the area that uses real ice. It’s a perfect place to have some fun outside while maintaining social distancing.
With just a light sprinkle of snow and little to no wind, the weather was perfect to get out and glide around.
Michael Rose of Rapid City said, “We wanted to get some ice skating done; went and had some winter fun and check out the other skaters. It was a nice time to visit and chat with other people in Rapid City, too. We were out doing some archery shooting before we got here, so that was even better.”
Holiday hours for the rink start on Wednesday (10 a.m. – 8 p.m.), while on Friday and Saturday it is open from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
