DEADWOOD, S.D. — Jacobs Brewhouse and Grocer opened last month to offer a place not only for tourists but also locals to enjoy a spot to hangout and enjoy food and drinks year round.
They offer a full restaurant, brewhouse, bakery, coffee shop, and gourmet grocery store using locally sourced, specialty items. Co-owner of the restaurant, Scott Jacobs, also owns the Scott Jacobs Art Gallery and this new location has been a dream of his and his family for over a year.
Jacobs said the idea for this location was inspired by visits to Napa Valley, California. The idea came to fruition rather quickly.
Jacobs says, “We [my wife and I] talked about baby steps ya know, let’s start with a little gourmet grocery, where people can get charcuterie boards and eat, and then maybe we’ll do lunch and then maybe we’ll do dinner down the line, but we jumped in with both feet.”
Jacobs said that the feedback and support from the community has been amazing.
