RAPID CITY, S.D. — A local outdoor classroom is open to the public of Rapid City and the Black Hills area.
After nearly 15 months, Outdoor Campus West in Rapid City has reopened.
The campus will now get back to holding fishing classes, outdoor archery events and much more.
South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks says the outdoor campus is enthused about helping people find their way back to the great outdoors.
“It’s our job to help facilitate those relationships with nature and we think here at the outdoor campus that this is a great stepping stone if you want to further your relationship with nature, learn a new skill, we’ve got it here and we can help you,” said Lacy Elrod, the Director of Outdoor Campus West Rapid City. “We’re free programming for all ages and think it’s just a great community place for people to stop by and visit.”
The next family fishing event is set for June 12. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
