Pennington County 911, law enforcement agencies holding job fair

RAPID CITY, S.D. — If you’ve ever considered a career in law enforcement and public safety, there’s no better time to make the jump.

A job fair will be held at the Pennington County Administration Building this Thursday, July 8 from three to seven p-m.

Reps from the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, Rapid City Police and Pennington County 9-1-1 will be on hand to meet with those interested. Mari brooks, the Training Supervisor for Pennington County 9-1-1 says that it makes sense to consolidate the agencies into one job fair — so people can get all they information they need in one place.

“It kinda gives them one stop shopping for job seeking, so all of our agencies provide really good benefits, I know we provide state retirement and great paid time off, so it’s just a good place for somebody that’s interested in that kind of thing to stop by and talk to everybody at once,” Brooks said.
