PENNINGTON COUNTY, S.D. — Applications for licenses to dispense, cultivate, and manufacture marijuana will be available beginning Wednesday, November 10.
The preliminary screening process begins Nov. 10; those who pass the screening will be eligible to apply for a conditional use permit for a marijuana business while continuing on with the full approval process.
“I encourage anyone who is interested in obtaining one of the marijuana business licenses to contact the Planning Department to set a meeting with staff prior to review potential plans in order to make the process go as smoothly as possible,” says Planning Director Brittney Molitor.
The Pennington County Planning Department says only those businesses that receive a conditionally approved marijuana business license will be recommended to the State.
