RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Rapid City Police Department says they are investigating a shooting that occurred late Monday night.
Around 11:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Meade Street for a report of a suspicious incident.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers learned that two males had entered a residence in search of another male. After learning the male they were looking for was not at the residence, the individuals became upset and one struck a male victim in the face with a firearm, demanding his wallet.
The victim refused to comply, so the intruder fired a round.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
