STURGIS, S.D. — We’re barely a week out from the 2021 Rally now, and preparations are underway across the city of Sturgis.
Tents, vendors, and scaffolding visible along Main Street and Lazelle with t-shirt stands and biker gear available for early Rally-goers.
Those setting up working through the hundred-degree temperatures to put the final touches in place before the crowds roll in.
Businesses in the area pushing-on through staffing shortages and encouraging visitors to shop local.
“Yeah, in the winter, my dad helps – family run – and this summer, I’ve had to hire…Up to six right now…It’s gonna be a big one, and…I don’t know…Support your locals,” said Jessica Kerlin, owner of Unique to Antique.
The Rally starts next Friday, August 6 and continues through Sunday, August 15.
