RAPID CITY, S.D. — Rapid City is beginning it’s mosquito fogging operations. Parks Division Manager Scott Anderson says they’ll be spraying within the space of the Elks Golf Course after listening to some issues from residents within the space.
They’ll be hitting the streets round 10 p.m. someday between Wednesday and Friday, relying on the climate.
Fogging is a follow-up to the prep work they get executed each spring.
“We do a couple of different issues within the spring,” Anderson mentioned. “We do the briquettes within the standing water round city and that helps with the mosquito larvae, killing the larvae and the eggs at the moment.”
Letting folks learn about fogging forward of time is essential, as a result of whereas the chemical spray isn’t dangerous to folks or pets, it’s to different bugs.
