RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Rapid City Community Development Department will resume the “Coffee with Planners” events next month after a 16-month hiatus.
The events were held quarterly for several years before being paused due to the pandemic.
“We are very excited to resume the coffee with planners sessions,” said interim Community Development Director Vicki Fisher. “The pandemic, the restrictions on access to City Hall and some staff changes impacted our quarterly sessions but we are looking forward to engaging the public and getting their input and feedback on a number of important topics.”
The one-hour sessions are open to the public and involve City staff addressing current topics, sharing information, and answering questions.
The next session will be held Thursday, July 1 at 9 a.m. in the second floor Community Room at City Hall. Discussion topics will include medical marijuana, the Transit Development Plan, and proposed revisions to City landscape regulations.
Sessions are expected to last around one hour with coffee, bagels, and water provided.
