UPDATE (12/17/2021 @ 6:58 a.m.): Superintendent Dr. Lori Simon says RCAS “received a threat to one of [their] schools.” RCAS also says law enforcement is investigating.
Other school districts say they are taking precautions as well.

RAPID CITY, S.D. — An RCAS spokesperson told NewsCenter1 Friday morning the district has decided that “as a precautionary measure, we are closing schools for safety of students and staff.”
Schools will be out of session Friday, December 17.
