RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Rapid City Rush are internet hosting their ever-popular “Chuck-A-Puck” contest in the course of the second intermission of Saturday’s game, and veteran-focused organization, Midwest Honor Flight, will benefit from these funds.
Midwest Honor Flight is a nonprofit that takes veterans of World War II, Vietnam and Korea on an all-expenses-paid journey to Washington, D.C. to see the memorials to their service. The midwestern sector covers all of South Dakota, together with Northwest Iowa and Southwest Minnesota.
Fundraisers like “Chuck-A-Puck” assist cowl the complete value of the journey for the veterans.
“The fundraising that we do, the donations that we obtain go in direction of making these flights attainable, and it prices about $150,000 for one flight of 84 veterans to go alongside,” says Aaron Van Beek, president and director of Midwest Honor Flight.
Van Beek and others from the organization will likely be on the recreation Saturday night time to meet with attendees and share extra about their mission.
