RAPID CITY, S.D. — Santa dropped in on the children of Youth & Family Services in Rapid City on Thursday, joined by airmen from Ellsworth Air Force Base.
For the 14th consecutive year, Ellsworth’s 28th Operations Group helped Santa deliver presents to children at YFS.
Airmen, some dressed as elves, helped deliver 138 wrapped presents. A few were even delivered by hand by Saint Nick himself.
John Julius, the CEO of Youth & Family Services, says the yearly show of generosity means a lot to the children and their families.
“They look forward to this on an annual basis,” he said, “and it just really makes them feel good and really gives them an opportunity to enjoy this time of the year.”
All of the toys were purchased by squadron members of Ellsworth’s 28th Operations Group and their families.
