RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Pennington County Republican Women hosted a meet-and-greet with candidates for the Rapid City Area School Board on Thursday.
Candidates from areas one, two and three were given a couple minutes to talk about their experience, values, and goals.
Republican Women Club leaders say it’s important to give candidates a forum to tell their story.
“It’s important for the voters to get to actually interact with the people that they’re considering voting for, so we like to promote that ability, give candidates that option and give people from the community a chance to ask their questions and evaluate all their options,” said Sara Frankenstein with the Republican Women Club.
Absentee voting for the School Board begins this coming Monday, and the elections are on Tuesday, June 8.
