PIERRE, S.D. — On Tuesday, the South Dakota Department of Health reported 19 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 109,204.
No new probable cases were reported.
Three new deaths were added, putting the states death toll at 2,033.
Eight confirmed cases were reported West River: five in Pennington County, two in Lawrence County, and one in Oglala Lakota County.
In South Dakota, 146 cases are considered active, that number is down from 174 on Monday.
An additional 34 people have recovered from the virus, which puts the total number of recoveries at 122,342.
23 people are currently hospitalized; a total of 6,843 have been hospitalized since the pandemic began.
