PIERRE, S.D.– The South Dakota Ag Foundation is celebrating National Ag Week with their first-ever Volunteer Day benefitting Feeding South Dakota.
The Ag Foundation invitations the general public to hitch them for a day of volunteerism and fellowship on March 22, 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Feeding South Dakota Distribution Centers in Rapid City, Pierre, and Sioux Falls.
In an effort to deal with starvation throughout the state, the Ag Foundation will pack meals packing containers which can be distributed to South Dakota households and seniors. According to Feeding South Dakota, Volunteer Day attendees could kind perishable and non-perishable meals, pack meals into packing containers for cell distribution websites, repackage bulk meals, or fill backpacks with meals for youngsters receiving free or decreased lunches at college.
“Each merchandise we pack can have been a product of hard-working farmers and ranchers”, mentioned Executive Director of the Ag Foundation Chris Maxwell. “This is our approach of claiming ‘thanks’ to the general public for supporting agriculture in South Dakota in addition to Feeding South Dakota for the superb work they do every single day to finish starvation.”
