RAPID CITY, S.D. — On Saturday, April 2, Col. Wyatt Hansen of Spearfish took command of the South Dakota Army National Guard’s 109th Regional Support Group throughout a change of command ceremony on Camp Rapid.
Hansen assumed command from Col. Steven Siemonsma of Rapid City who commanded the RSG since October 2021. The 109th RSG assists assigned items in assembly coaching, administrative and logistical necessities to keep up the items’ readiness in assist of state and federal missions.

Hansen holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Black Hills State University and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.
