RAPID CITY, S.D. — Like other organizations, Special Olympics South Dakota has had to cancel all of their events this year.
So in order to spread some holiday cheer, the organization will be traveling to 11 communities with a caravan.
It will feature lights, and gifts will be given to the 2,700 Special Olympic athletes around the state.
Santa Claus himself said, “One of the worst years we’ve ever endured just happened, and we wanted to try and end the year on a happy note – and the last thing I have to say is Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas.”
Besides the gifts there will also be 3,000 goodie bags for the athletes.
