RAPID CITY, S.D. —The St. Thomas More High School Girls Basketball team received a rousing send-off first thing Wednesday morning as they head to the Class A State Tournament.
Parents and players gathered at the gym to send the team off as the number one seed.
“That’s an incredible part of this situation that when you have the backing of parents, you know, the school, the administration anything like that and so I’m excited for these young girls,” said STM Head Girls Basketball Coach, Brandon Kandolin. “A chance and an opportunity that just doesn’t always come along and it’s fortunate for these girls that put in the time and the work and they’re ready to go.”
STM will take on McCook Central-Montrose in the first round on Thursday at 11 a.m. M.T.
