RAPID CITY, S.D. — The outdoors mercifully come indoors this weekend. 39th Black Hills Sports Show and Outdoor Expo gets underway Friday at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
It’s a good chance to think about warmer weather to come and check out the new ATV’s and boats.
This is a not-for-profit event, with all of the proceeds going to three local charities South Dakota Youth Hunting Adventures, The Cosmos, and the Naja Shriners.
The Sports Show and Outdoor Expo is spread throughout the entire Civic Center, except for the ice arena, since the Rush are at home this weekend.
Ami Larson, Director of the Black Hills Sports Show and Outdoor Expo, said, “We do have a special deal, if you are gonna come see the Rush game, we will give you a discount on the admission to our show. And vice versa, if you come to our show they will give you some discounts on a Rush ticket. We’re just pleased to be having the show, six months ago we just weren’t sure and I have more vendors than we have ever had before. So just come and dream and enjoy and wait for the warmer days ahead.”
The Sports Show and Outdoor Expo opens Friday and runs through Sunday.
