Well folks, welcome to the last full day of Summer 2020 as Fall starts tomorrow at 7:31 AM MDT! In my opinion, this season went by really fast. So, tomorrow is the Autumnal Equinox, which means that it is one out of two times out of the year when the Sun is exactly above the Equator and day and night are of equal length. It won’t feel like fall tomorrow here in Rapid City. As a matter of fact, here’s a look at your forecast.
Now that Fall is knocking on our door, let’s dive into our forecast:
Well, that nice, fair weathered friend, High Pressure is in play yet again. We’ll see temperatures go up again tomorrow with highs in the upper 80’s. It definitely won’t feel like Fall. Unfortunately there’s not a rain chance in the forecast either. That is something we really do need. I know I am sounding like a broken record.
TODAY IN THE BLACK HILLS:
Not too shabby really. Temperatures will be in the 70’s & 80’s. Expect lots of sunshine as well.
Overnight lows will drop into the 50’s & 60s with clear skies. Sheridan, you’ll go to 47 degrees with Ekalaka going to 49.
TODAY IN RAPID CITY:
As mentioned; Expect lot of sun. Maybe a little bit of cloud cover in the early afternoon hours. Winds will be light out of the East at around 5-10 MPH. For tonight, another clear evening with temps going to around 61 degrees.
7 DAY FORECAST:
So it will start to feel like Fall as we head into the weekend. We’ll have temps in the Upper 70’s / Low 80’s for Wednesday & Thursday, then we drop to the low 70’s on Friday with highs in the upper 60’s for this weekend. Talk about a great weekend to get out and enjoy corn mazes, or pumpkin patches, or whatever your favorite fall activity is.
