Last Night was definitely one of those “Eddie Rabbitt” Kind of Nights. For those of you who just read that and knew what I meant, kudos to you! For those of you who read that and was like “What in the heck is he talking about?” Here you go. Eddie Rabbitt (Yes, that is spelled right) was a country music singer, who was notoriously known for a song titled “I Love A Rainy Night.” (**SIDENOTE** The tempo was at a pace in which you could sync your Windshield Wipers to the beat of the song. Don’t ask me how I know that, but I do.) Since we had rain last night, it reminded me of that song. To listen to the song, click here.
WEATHER BLOG TIME!
Well folks, in 4 Days, we broke the following records:
We had a high of 104° on Saturday which broke the old record of 101° set back in 1978
On Monday, we had a record low of 32° which broke the old record of 34° set back in 1986
Monday was also the earliest date for freezing temperatures on record. The old record was September 9th, 1962, and again on September 9th, 2001.
We also had a record amount of rainfall! We received 0.96″ of rain, which broke the old record of 0.86″ set back in 1946!
This was also the earliest measured snowfall on record, breaking the old record of September 11th. 2014.
AND IT’S STILL SUMMER!
The good news is, we received just under 1″ of MUCH needed rain!!! That now puts us at 0.66″ above normal for the month of September, and now only 1.6″ below normal for the entire year. We are still below normal nonetheless, but at least that rain did put a nice dent into our deficit.
AS OF NOW: All advisories are now gone. The temps will go into the 40’s by mid-afternoon with clouds slowly decreasing. Here’s a look at your hour by hour forecast.
LONG TERM:
We’re going back up! Mid 50’s on Wednesday, Mid 60’s Thursday & Friday, and how about mid 70’s on Saturday, and upper 70’s on Sunday! AND the sun return in full force tomorrow. As a matter of fact, here’s a look at the 7 Day Forecast.
