Ladies and Gentlemen, Time to grab the Hot Apple Cider, and gather around the screen. It’s time for Season 1, Episode 27 of “The Erik Files.”
This weekend wasn’t bad at all to say the least as we had temps in the 60’s on Saturday, and 70’s on Saturday with lots of sunshine. It was definitely a nice weekend to go take a road-trip and explore, of which I did.
MORE TROUBLE IN THE TROPICS:
It would be very remiss of me if I didn’t talk about this as this is a huge deal. We have 2 named storms in the Atlantic right now. Keep in mind, we are on the Greek Alphabet now. Right now, we have Tropical Storms Gamma, and Delta. Here’s the latest:
FIRST: TROPICAL STORM GAMMA:
If you notice the winds, they are sustained at 45 MPH. This is a slow moving system, moving south southwest at 2 MPH.
If you look at the overall storm track, you notice it doesn’t really move much as it slowly fizzles out. By Thursday, Gamma is projected to have 25 MPH sustained wind.
Now, this is the one I am keeping an eye on;
TROPICAL STORM DELTA
This one bears watching. Right now, it looks like Jamaica is seeing the northern part of Delta. Winds are sustained at 45 MPH, just like Gamma. This is moving a little bit quicker, it’s moving West at 7 MPH.
So why did I say that this one bears watching?
Well, here’s the storm track.
Notice how it makes a beeline for the Gulf, and strengthens to a Category 2 Hurricane and goes towards Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. AGAIN: This cone is subjective to change, but this is the latest as of now.
BRINGING IT CLOSER TO HOME:
Here’s a look at your timeline for today, and you notice we stay in the low 70’s until we get 6:00 Hour, where we drop to 66 degrees. Look at that 8 PM Temperature, down to 58 degrees with clear skies.
Enjoy your Monday!
