RAPID CITY, S.D. — The annual West Boulevard Summer Festival kicked off Saturday at Wilson Park.
Family, friends and everyone in between made it out for the festival where many local vendors and organizations provided their products and services.
The Hope Center held a bake sale, with all the proceeds going back into the organization.
A local real estate company pledged to make the funds made from the bake sale.
Funds go towards things like water bottles, where the hope center can go through as many as 300 bottles of water during hot days during the summer – making donations vital.
“The bake sale probably is not going to give a lot of money to the Hope Center, but any little bit helps and matching it is huge to us,” said Kara Nesbitt, a Client Advocate with the Hope Center. “It might not seem like a lot to some people, but to us, it’s huge because it can go a long way.”
The festival continues Sunday, June 20 from 10 a.m. to four p.m.
