RAPID CITY, S.D. — A month-long volunteer event, United Way’s Month of Caring launches tomorrow at 11:30 a.m.
Given the pandemic, United Way of the Black Hills is extending their Day of Caring to the whole month.
Organizations and businesses around the Black Hills have signed up to complete 46 projects throughout September.
Extending the day to a month might be something United Way considers moving into the coming years.
“We’re changing, times are changing, things are done differently, this is a new norm for everybody, and for us as well,” says Month of Caring Coordinator, Rosellen Reese. “So I believe it will be awesome it would be freeing for a lot of people.”
The kickoff will be virtual this year, and you can tune in right here on NewsCenter1 at 11:30 a.m. or go to newscenter1.tv.
