RAPID CITY, S.D. — Guest speakers to the Main Street Square ceremony included Jason Salamun, Ritchie Nordstrom and Krystal Two Bulls.
Salamun had a message of hope, encouraging veterans to keep moving forward and accessing local resources like the Colton Levi Derr Foundation, the VA or church community – if they need help.
He also touched on the legacy that lives on in the generations of veterans who served.
Jason Salamun, Rapid City Councilman, says, “Generations that have gone before and the generation that is serving now, we remember them because heroics are measured in sacrifice, and when you believe that then military members proved it.”
Free coffee and breakfast sandwiches were served to those in attendance. Fleet Farm gave out hand held American Flags.
