RAPID CITY, S.D. — From virtual ceremonies in 2020 to returning to celebrate albeit socially distant.
Western Dakota Tech held their first of three in-person graduation ceremonies this afternoon.
On Friday, registered nurses and LPN’s took part in a dual graduation and pin on ceremonies.
WDT President Ann Bolman says this is just the best event of year.
“Our faculty and staff work so hard to support them all the way through their programs and its exciting for us to see them completely their programs and taking the time to really honor themselves and also all of their family and friends that helped them along the way,” Bolman said.
Despite the pandemic, she says WDT is graduating it’s highest number of grads this spring semester with 381 students.
Bolman says it’s incredible considering all the challenges students and staff faced over the last year.
